The concentrated STAR US 5 cleaner is the strongest ultrasonic cleaner in the STAR US range. It serves for degreasing extremely contaminated components in mechanical applications in ultrasonic devices. The alkaline, water-based surfactant cleaner is primarily suited for removing oil incrustations, resinous greases, oils, carbon deposits, and thin layers of varnish. Cleaning occurs without any use of VOC and phosphates.

The ultrasonic bath with STAR US 5 cleans components made of various alkali-resistant materials, such as steel, stainless steel, iron, casting, and plastics.
Extremely persistent oil- and grease contaminations, i.e. incrustations, resin formations and carbon deposits, are removed.
The cleaner already works at ambient temperature and unfolds its optimal cleaning effect at 60 °C/ 140 °F.
Thanks to its demulsifying properties, floating oils and greases can be skimmed off after cleaning, thus extending the service life of the ultrasonic bath.

The STAR US 5 cleaning concentrate is poured into the ultrasonic device, diluted with water.
An effective cleaning result is already achieved starting with a concentration of 0.5 %.
The optimal cleaning temperature for removing extremely persistent oil- and grease contaminations is 60 °C/140 °F.
After the cleaning process, the grease- and oil layer subsequently floating on the ultrasonic bath can be removed e.g. by means of a Plate Separator (PPT).
