Cleaning mould inserts in an ultrasonic bath and preventing discolouration of certain steels
Removes plastic outgassing, plastic residues, greases, corrosion inhibitors and surface rust from injection moulding inserts. Master Mould 100 has been specially developed for the ultrasonic cleaning of mould inserts in the plastic injection moulding industry.
The cleaner is suitable for steel, stainless steel, aluminium and non-ferrous metals. In addition to typical residues from the injection moulding process, Master Mould 100 also removes greases, corrosion inhibitors and surface rust, thereby facilitating the cleaning of mould inserts prior to reuse.
A particular advantage is the protection it offers against the darkening of certain steels during cleaning. Consequently, Master Mould 100 is also suitable for mould inserts where undesirable visual changes to the steel surface are to be avoided.
Master Mould 100 has a demulsifying effect. This means that any oils present are not permanently bound in the cleaning medium and can be removed from the cleaning process in suitable systems equipped with oil separation.
The cleaner is VOC-free. However, due to its foaming properties, Master Mould 100 is not suitable for recirculating systems such as hot-water parts washers, BIO-CIRCLE Turbo or HP systems.
