What data of yours will be processed by us? And for what purposes?
We process the data that you have sent us in connection with your application in order to assess your suitability for the position (or possibly other open positions in our company) and to carry out the application process.

On what legal basis is this based?
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in this application process is primarily § 26 BDSG as applicable from May 25, 2018. According to this, the processing of the data is permitted which is necessary for the decision regarding the establishment of an employment relationship.
Should the data be necessary for legal prosecution after the completion of the application process, data processing may take place based on the conditions of Art. 6 GDPR, especially to assert legitimate interests under Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our interest then lies in the assertion or defense of claims.

How long will the data be stored?
Data from applicants will be deleted after 6 months in the event of a rejection.
In case you have consented to further storage of your personal data, we will transfer your data to our applicant pool. There, the data will be deleted after two years.
Should you have received an offer for a position during the application process, the data from the applicant database will be transferred to our personnel information system.

To whom will the data be passed on?
We use Indeed for the application process. This company acts as a service provider for us and may also gain knowledge of your personal data in connection with your application. We have concluded a so-called data processing agreement with this provider, which ensures that data processing takes place in a permissible manner.
After receipt of your application, your applicant data will be reviewed by the HR department. Suitable applications will then be forwarded internally to the department heads responsible for the respective open position. The further process will then be coordinated. In the company, only those individuals who need access to your data for the proper execution of our application process have access to it.

Your rights as a ‘Data Subject’
You have the right to request information about the personal data we process about you.
In the case of an information request that is not made in writing, we ask for your understanding that we may request proof from you that verifies you are the person you claim to be.
Furthermore, you have the right to correction or deletion or to restriction of processing, as far as you are legally entitled to do so.
You also have a right to object to the processing within the framework of the legal provisions. The same applies to a right to data portability.
