The water-based STAR US 4 special cleaner is the all-rounder among the ultrasonic cleaners. It is not only suited for cleaning alkali-resistant but also sensitive surfaces such as aluminium, non-ferrous metal, brass or zinc coatings. Stainless steel, steel and plastics can be cleaned effectively. Extremely persistent component contaminations caused by oils and greases are removed.

The STAR US 4 cleaning concentrate is suited for removing extremely persistent contaminations from a variety of materials, such as non-ferrous metals, brass, stainless steel, steel, plastics or zinc-coated surfaces. Moreover, it does not affect aluminium and castings. The ultrasonic cleaner effectively removes contaminations from coarse surfaces.
The cleaner is free from phosphates and volatile organic compounds and already provides optimal cleaning results at ambient temperature.

The STAR US 4 cleaner can be used in the ultrasonic device as concentrate or diluted with water. The precise concentration depends on the on the degree of contamination of the components.
For residue-free cleaning a low concentration is recommended.
For the removal of heavy oil- and grease contaminations from copper- or brass surfaces, a concentration of 1 % to 2 % is suitable. With all other alkali-resistant surfaces, such as aluminium, steel/stainless steel or plastics, an application concentration of 3 % to 5 % will be effective.
In order to shorten cleaning times, the ultrasonic bath can be heated up to 90 °C/194 °F max.
