The alkaline STAR US 2 cleaning concentrate is used in ultrasonic devices, primarily for removing residues of releasing agents and plastics. It is particularly suited for cleaning moulds and tools in the plastics and metalworking industry. The cleaning agent is universally applicable in removing e.g. cooling lubricants, carbon deposits, soot, tinder, oils, greases, and also dust and fingerprints.

The STAR US 2 universal cleaning concentrate already works at ambient temperature and removes contaminations from alkali-resistant surfaces such as plastics, stainless steel or steel. It efficiently removes a variety of deposits, which makes it suitable for strong intensive cleaning (25 kHz) and also fine cleaning (45 kHz) in ultrasonic devices.
This means that smaller moulds or tools used in plastic injection moulding or in the metalworking industry can be cleaned effortlessly.
The cleaner is phosphate-free and VOC-reduced to facilitate a more eco-friendly cleaning.

Depending on the degree of contamination of the tools and moulds, the STAR US 2 cleaner can be poured into the ultrasonic device as concentrate or diluted with water up to 1:40.
Optimal cleaning results can already be achieved at ambient temperature. The performance of the ultrasonic bath can be enhanced by increasing the temperature to 90 °C/194 °F max.
The cleaner should not be used as a concentrate on aluminium- and zinc coatings in order to protect the material. We recommend a compatibility test in an inconspicuous spot prior to the application.
